Anyone got any advice on how/if I can get a tax refund in Ireland?

I have my P60 and looking at it it looks as if I have paid too much tax, even if you ignore these so-called 'tax credits'. Is there some way I get my money back?

Just give the revenue a call and they will sort you out. Everytime I have called them, they have been really helpful.
Generally, you will get a tax refund if you have overpaid your tax (usually the refund would be from the company you work for) or you worked partially during the year. I am not sure how they calculate the tax back thingy. I applied once where I had paid over €2k of tax for the year and I only got about €500 back.

I just mailed my P60 back to the local tax office with a letter asking them to audit my taxes for the year. Got a nice cheque for €430 about a month later :)

Depends on lots of things like your marital status, you're gross pay and other benefits etc

Revenue Helpline 1890 605090, they can tell you over the phone if you're due money back if you give them your P60 details, or they'll tell you where to go.

Yup, depends on a number of factor. Sorry forgot to mention that earlier :)
Just giving him a rough idea what to expect. I was expecting the €2k back, so it was kinda shocking to get only about €500. Silly me :)
