My Sister, Rachel Burke, is having a solo exhibition in the Mullan Gallery, Belfast, opening this Wednesday 25th of February.

If anyone here is in or near Belfast and would like to visit the Exhibition, check out how to get their on their website.

She also has her own website will lots of her paintings here.

I don't want to be signing her praises here, she is my sister and I am totally biased, you can come to your own conclusions on whether you like her work or not.

Oh yeah, another reason for this post, 100 posts!!! hurray!!!

I really like her style, I am curious, does she read alot of very old books?

Or did she? Her style looks quite influenced by illustrators and Artists long dead who would often be asked to illustrate books, books now out of print for quite some time.

    Jack B. Yeats for example.

I absoloutely adore the older styles of painting, woodcutting etc. tell her to keep the good work up.

Won't be anywhere near belfast unfortunately.
