to form a band, from scratch

    i want to form a band in the style of the PIXIES. other influences for this band would include the likes of JEW, DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL, CAKE and whatever you would bring to the band...basicaly anything but i mainly want to emulate the pixies unique style at the moment.

    my other personal influences include ska such as the mad caddies, the police, the mighty mighty bosstones, rancid, operation ivy and punk like nofx, bad religion and pop such as green day.

    i do a bit of vocals and a bit of bass so i'm after 1 or 2 guitarists and drums.

    i'm based in south dublin, i'm 18.

    i'm looking for a band which is less concerned with individual musical prowess and more interested in the sound which is created (see this link ) i'm after alternative sounds not the humdrum of the usual crap.

    as you can see from my personal fav bands, ska is quite an important aspect. if the above band dont happen, i would be looking for a guitarist, bass player (very good), drummer, horn section - trumpet, trombone, sax.
