Sky certainly did a good job this afternoon in covering the tragic accident on Wellington Quay. Where was RTE? Aertel information was way behind Sky with the breaking news. Sky also spoke to people involved. I am sure that if the service was up and running we would have had a live broadcast from the scene.

    Where were the RTE journalists?

Hopefully Sky will also give us some proper coverage of why this happened rather than the RTE habit of blaming Dublin Bus. Why do the city authorities allow a bus terminus in such an inappropriate place?

Sorry, moving off topic but congratulations Sky.

In fact, I found that BBC News24 had the info & pictures from the crash scene much quicker than Sky News.

RTÉ afaik, only had one or two unscheduled bullitin's on RTÉ One which didn't give much info on it.

You are correct, BBC seemed to have pictures first. Do they have a crew resident here?

    Yes they do.
Their office is just off molesworth st, near the one pico restaurant ( lovely foodage there :D ) as you head up to the dawson car park.
It's very well hidden in an alley way actually and has the old BBC sign.
Theres nearly always an NI registered jeep parked there.

I used to work for them at Sth Frederick St. - hardly a lane, unless they've moved since?
