Sky News active dissapeared!!!

    I was watching Sky News about an hour ago and decided to go on to Sky News active. When I pressed the red button, it wasn't on the menu! What's going on? Has this happened to anyone else?:confused:

    tunr off ur digibox, pull out plug then turn it all on again and restart then it should be back working again.

    I was very dissappointed that i was'nt able to check the awful weather my wife is getting in Southern Spain as Skys active weather is very good for that.the infrared western european sat picture- has anyone rang sky as its not working on either of my boxes

    They might be doing some work on it in preperation for the Irish service??

    Its is working fine on my UK FTV card, but a lot of the other interactive junk on the list at the initial screen has been removed

    Also a new graphics and ident package is due to launch Mon morn at 6am so this might have something to do with it also??

    Most unsatisfactory -The guy i was on to didnt know there was a problem and has informed his supervisor and also they are having problems accessing accounts to send signals- so maybe there is an overall problem

    I've been on to Sky about my faulty Sky+ (V2) box, and was told that
    the absence of the Sky News Active was a Sky problem they "were working on".

    The problem only applies to Sky+ boxes though.
    If you have an ordinary Digibox, rebooting it should sort the problem.

    Maybe it's only some Sky+ boxes that are affected, Mossy.
    Sky had me under the impression that most if not all Sky+ boxes were affected.
    Certainly this is what Sky told me.

    While writing this I checked both boxes I have, and now my mirror sub box (Pace)
    is affected, whilst the Sky+ box is fine ! :dunno:

    Hopefully by tomorrow it will sort itself out. I'm getting a new Sky+ in the next few days. Apparantley my installer says there have been a lot more faulty Sky+ boxes
    handed in than is considered normal.

    Even Sky acknowledge this, which is incredible in my book ...:D

    I don't think it's a Sky + specific problem. My Sky Active on regular Sky digital has been coming and going since the weekend, last time I checked it was gone which was a few days ago.
