    I'm prepared to believe that that could have happened (it's actually the sort of symbolic weird thing that I used to do with algebra in primary school before I copped on what the hell was going on). But I have no idea if it did in fact happen :)

    A question in an algebra homework of mine that was due today inspired me to think up this grave injustice to humour...

    Barney(mod4) : "Two plus two is zero, two plus two is zero, two plus two..."

    Another day, another algebra lecture, I concluded that there was just one field of athenry, 'R'.

    hehe.

    My maths lecturer last year told us that story in relation to maths papers he'd been correcting (done by engineers according to him).... it took them ages to figure out what the hell was happening (sidewards 6 looking like omega)!
