    A double bill of fine fine jazz from The Boom Boom Room
    Feat: "Hard Cell" and "The Vicky Meredith Sextet"

    Proving once again that there is no shortage of up & coming jazz talent
    on the local scene, this "double bill" event showcases both the Newpark
    Jazz Departments & Newpark Improv groups finest."The Vickey Meredith Sextet" features players from the excellent Improv Groups at the college & their
    sound is a youthful reworking of classic bop pieces & ballads from the
    standards back catalogue.

    "Hard Cell" are a motivated, talented young group of musicians on the
    Dublin Jazz scene focusing on the area of original composition.
    They return to the Boom Boom Room after a successful gig in November
    2003.These up and coming jazz musicians play comtempory jazz tunes, from the
    likes of Rick Peckham and Dave Douglas, together with original compositions.
    Bands like these will ensure that Jazz & its evolution to new musical
    spheres & fresh musical audiences is in safe hands!
