    Its the stuff of science fiction ... the inquirer has a story saying NTT have said they'll have 1GB products next year .. the size of a postage stamp .... how long before HD's are replaced by these??

    Sweet, it's good to see that they finally putting products out with this stuff.
    It'll prob be few more years before harddisk etc start using it at all and when it does come it prob be really expensive until the bugs drop. It didnt say anything about speed there but I've heard of a few of the other "tests" companys were doing and they were getting faster speeds than ram from harddisk type setups

    Hologram memories have been near production for most of the last two decades if not longer. Unfortunately DVD's have caught up.
