Sound Recording from Minidisc

Can anyone recommend a freeware/easy to obtain program for recording from a sound card input. My father has bought a minidisc (bless him) and wants to record files to his PC. It's not a USB minidisc so he has to do it through the sound card. The program must also be relatively easy to use.

You could try Audacity, always does the trick for me.

I used musicmatch jukebox to convert my minidiscs to mp3's.There's lots of options to fine tune the recording but is still easy to use!.Highly recommended!.:)
