Anyone know how successful this is & how much it's likley to cost Vs totally replacing the entire thing?

(replacing to include plumbing work tile replacement around the bath etc)

You can only resurface a cast iron bath and the the only problem I have ever heard was where a small patch was damaged in moving the bath, but apparently there is a product for patching.

If you plan to replumb, it might be as well to replumb back as far as the boiler / immersion.

Consider fitting an electric shower unit (e.g. Triton T90).

The finish when the bath is resurfaced only lasts a couple of years.

It never takes to the bath around the waste outlet, as this fitting is not removed when resurfacing, the finish is only applied up to, but not underneath the waste flange.
