RTE: Unimaginative or ironic?

    glanced at tonight's Fair City

    in it there's a new character called Bobby - very environmentally aware and nauseatingly right-on.

    coincidentally Glenroe had an identical character with similiar beliefs - also called Bobby - and played by the same actor

    Post ironic. Or more likely RTE tend to use whoever is on thier books and availible at any given time. The character similairity was proberly accidental bearing in mind Glenroe is now history. Or maybe this chap just looks sooooo right on its all he can play! :D

    I think he was in it for an episode or two last year. Vaguely remember hearing that yes, they had deliberately decided to use the same character for some unknown reason.

    One wonders who will pop up on Fair City next...:p

    They are being Ironic.

    He appeared in the show a while ago.

    I don't think he has a major role in the show.

    Also It's very unsual to see anyone from Gelroe in Fair City or Vis a Versa

    I think he is the only one and he is playing the same character.
