Hey, im looking to buy Sennheiser 212's and i'v been looking around. The only shop i've seen them in is tower records. I tried them out and the sound is pretty nice, also no sound seems to escape. They are €65 though and i thought that i could probably get them cheaper on the net or somewhere else. Thing is i can't find anywhere else. Tried Richersounds.ie and peats.ie ,neither of which had them. When i tried to walk up to peats in parnell square, it wasn't there.Looks like it just disappeared. Dunno about that. also i tried Maplins and even waltons. Nothing. Where do you go to get damn headphones? Are there any specialist shops? Will i even get them any cheaper.

I got a pair of sennheiser 570's in Brown Thomas so you may want to try their, altho when I went looking the last time for a replacement pair their selection had gone down, but they're worth as look the price's there are suprisingly decent enough.

e65 isnt too bad a price.. cheapest including delivery on the net would probably be around the 58 mark (http://veronica.co.uk) .. avoid BTs their prices are not decent at all :)

yeah, i think your right. I'm going in today so i'll probably pick them up. I'm suprised that so little shops stock sennheiser headphones, i thought that sennheiser were one of the best makers of headphones? Also, i hardly ever see anyone with them on the streets. Strange.
Anyway thanks for all the help.

lol,too late! i got them yesterday, and they are well worth it.The sound is really kept in,so i wont be annoying anyone on the bus. My music sounds great aswel, they are slightly bassy, just to my liking. All in all,€65 well spent

i was originally looking at them. You can get them in Peats. I can't tell you much about them as i decided to go with the Hd 212's! Their main point is their portability. I've seen a good few reviews around the place. Best to do a google on it.

I've the PX100s, but have heard the PX200s a fair few times.. soundwise they're very good, not a lot more isolation than the PX100s (similar to the MX500s in fact), but they're a very small closed phone so thats to be expected... they may look quite flimsy but they can stand a good bit of abuse for such a small headphone.. comfort wise the 100s are more comfortable than the 200s, the pleather on the 200s tends to make them sit out more from the ear and a tiny bit looser.. soundwise the 200s would be quite similar to your MX500s... beautiful midrange, but slightly recessed highs and bass... well reccomended though over the 212pro imo.
