mixers without direct outs

i have 2 mixers one is a soundcraft spirit folio f1 6 mono inputs the other is a studio master horison powered mixer
with 12 channells but nwither of these have direct outs on their channels i , hav an 8 in 8 out soundcard and i want to use my mixers for recording
is there any way around this problem without having to replace my mixers ??

What kind of inputs does your sound card have?

You should be able to interrupt the channels via the Inserts. If you use a mono jack lead it should only take the send signal, acting almost exactly like a Direct Out. It will send before the auxiliaries or EQ, and it probably won't meter on the mixer.

I THOUGHT THAT THE INSERT WAS ONLY ONE WAY , I'LL TRY IT , CHEERS ,
OTHER THAN THAT I'M GONNA HAVE TO TRADE IT IN FOR SOMETHING WITH DIR OUTS

Generally if you are using a mixer insert as a direct out, only push your mono jack cable in half way.
