    Hi Guys,
even though I am away at sea, I keep logging on to this site. Excellent as it is.
I have emailed BBC, about the placment of BBC digital channles on Sky Ireland and the responce looks good......
    Read on !!!!

The BBC's digital-only channels have not been designed for viewing outside the UK (although it is physically possible to receive the signals as there is no encryption) and therefore up to now we have not asked Sky ROI to place these channels on their EPG as part of the Family package. BBC ONE and TWO are different as analogue overspill has meant they have always been available by various means in the republic, and were added to the Family package early-on.

However, the news is encouraging. We are now becoming available on cable and are talking with Sky and hope for a placement on the Sky ROI EPG at some time in the near future.

    Kind regards

    Vaughan Reynolds

I tought BBC3 and BBC4 were available on NTL Digital here in Dublin? If so there shuold be no reason for them not to be available on the Sky platform.

Welcome back PacMan and well done on returning with such interesting news. It's been a while since we had something concrete to look forward to. I sent Sky a letter (old fashioned thing used before email) asking them about BBC3, BBC4, etc specifically now that they are on the NTL EPG in Dublin. Surprisingly, I have not yet received a reply.

Hopefully Mr. Reynolds' definition of the near future is similar to our own. :D
