I don't know what to wear

Dude, wear whatever the hell you want, and don't worry about it.

If you think it looks good on you, wear it.

    Cool clothes don't attract women.

Confidence with a hefty side of money and power is all you need ;)

I dunno. I tend to think sports clothes are for sports. Wear whatever. Personally I like to wear some nice designer jeans with a funky tee and some nice boots... I'm comfortable in it and it's grand for going out in.

yeah what Kold said. TBH. Personally I'm not a fan of the striped rugby jersey thing. You wouldn't wear a generic football shirt striped so why rugby. All my jerseys demonstrate some affinity with a team.

What everyone else said, wear what you want but when I see a group of lads dressed in those shirts I automatically think 'w*nkers'....but that's just me :)

Have to say I agree with this. Wearing a rugby shirt is like advertsing the fact that you simply can't be bothered to make an effort...what's wrong with a nice casual shirt or t-shirt? Rugby shirts only say one thing and that is that the person wearing it is a complete w*anker!

what about if someone actually played rugby and they were wearing a rugby shirt would that make them a wanker?.

I have to agree aswell. If you wanna wear a rugby shirt, wear a official one like a New Zealand one.

Yes, but generally very big **** who would break you for such statements... ;)

Wear any rugby jersey you like - the better quality ones are more expensive but nicer than the <20E tops. Guinness rugby jerseys are very cool too (they're about the only reason I can think of to go into the tacky tourist shop on the corner of Westmoreland St).

The exception is the new style Nike tops as worn by England, France, SA etc.

    Al.

Stripes than run horizontally like the ones from the link tend to exagerate weight so if you are in any way chunky around your midriff/belly, then I would stay well clear of them. Only my opinion, but those shirts seem well out of fashion, I remember my mother buying stuff like that for me was I was 13, and that was more than a decade ago.

    a nice mini skirt....

if you're planning on wearing a rugby shirt ye may aswell go the whole hog

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,421 ✭✭✭Doodee

    pfft.

was a point where rugby shirts were all the rage.

Best bet is to just shop around, if you dont know what looks good on you and you dont trust your own taste then just get a mate (pref Female) to go shopping with you, but then again, ya may aswell have her hold your hand crossing the road you big child.

Tbh, great bargains can be found in Oxfam/other charity shops or a lost and found box.

    *Me sniffs jumper*

AHHHH! the smell of free clothes.

Pffft, dont really liked long-sleeved rugby shirts, or striped ones, stripes look better on a football jersey, if even.

For many people, rugby shirts are a sign of w@nkerdom.

I'd say you should just stick to clothes in classic styles (basic trousers, shirts, t-shirts etc) and dark colours - they don't go out of date and you don't have to wash them very often.

Dunnes and Penny's are good and cheap as long as you sstay away from the stuff with logos like "Anarchy" and "l33t surfer" - type slogans on them.

who cares if the bloody shirts are dated?? (not saying that they are, i wouldn't have a clue...)
if you like them, wear them!!!! it doesn't matter what other people think.

there's no rules as to what you "should" and "shouldn't" be wearing (though keep in mind that it's best not be done for indecent exposure!!). just wear clothes that you like the look of and that you feel comfortable in.

and as c0rk3r said look at what other people are wearing for ideas.

You do realise with that last sentence you completly contradicted the previous two paragraphs? :)

how does it? if it seems so it's coz i phrased it wrong
i meant that he may need to experiment with a few different styles before he finds one that suits him, and it may be helpful to get some ideas off other people whos clothes he likes.
sorry, if that's not any clearer but am just too tired for this atm
