I have to thank all those who contributed to this forum over the last few weeks as armed with all the info on display I got my Sat system and now have a whole range of stuf, a lot of then crap I might add, but I have the "normal" channels and will have the complete package when my FTV card arrives soon from my mate in Scotland giving me ITV, C$ and C5. I am amazed that I did not do this earlier but thanks to all the contributors here I dived in am I'm pleased. On top of all this I dont pay annthing else other then the 430E for my system.(That includes installation by the way)

    Anyway, heres my next question.
IS there a website where I can get all the info on the channels that can be tuned into the other channels section. Now I have the system I am keen to visit the websites of the channels available and see what they offer that may be of interest.

Also, apart from Sky what other pay tv channels are available that I can get.

    Thanks all again.

    Liz

i havent a clue what you are trying to say! but have a look at www.kingofsat.net or www.lyngsat.com and you will find all the channel lists and frequencies for every satellite

If you have a Digibox, the only viewing card that works is a Sky Card.

http://www.sky.com/skycom/alacarte?CMP=IL21286 to see packages on Sky card apart from "normal Sky packages".

If you have a NOT-Digibox with a CAM slot, then you can subscribe to anyone EXCEPT SKY, such as AB-Sat, Canal+, and others. In some cases subs need to be taken in a particular country, but you may subsequently use the legally subscribed viewing card here.

Also for non-Sky other than a coulple of Czech channels aimed at cetral Europe (so weaker here) your dish needs to point different.

    42E Turksat
    36E SesSat
28.5 Eurobird (also Sky channels receivable with dish pointed at 28.2)
    28.2 Astra2A/2B/2D (Sky)
19E Astra, various Free and Pay package operators.
    16E
13E Hotbirds (BBC Prime direct from BBC pay package, also several other operators)
    7E
    5E
    1E
    5W
    Telestar 12 @ 15W
    30W Hispasat (spanish packages)
    etc..

Atlantic Bird 1 has feeds with NHL, NFL, PGA etc.

The Sky digbox is not very suitable for anything other than Sky.

You don't say what kind of receiver it is and if it has CAM or embedded decyrption with view card slot, or no slots for CAM/Viewing card, or if you have a rotator etc.
