Thinking of buying a sony ericsson p800 from ebay uk. If they say it is unlocked, does that mean that it will work with irish sim cards? And if its not unlocked, how easy/difficult would it be to get unlocked here. Anyone know if theres many gangsters on ebay? would ideally like to avoid getting screwed over.
    Thanks

Ebay is FULL of gangsters but it's easy to keep safe.
1> Make sure they have good feedback, and not 100 positive feedbacks for small items like hair clips and then a big auction of high end phones like the p800
2> Pay with paypal. NEVER use western union. Paypal is the only way you have complete protection over your money

Thanks for the advice. I guess the rule is, if it seems to good to be true, it probably is. I saw one chap trying to sell a display phone for 50 sterling. Bloody chancers.

Ive put in a bid on a p800, which is locked to the Orange network. It has an orange sticker on the front. Would this phone be unlockable for irish use?
    Thanks

well - maybe some more protection over other means - not sure complete protection is the way i'd describe it from the many paypal 'saga' sites on the net - there are a number of allegedly negative experiences being had by some...
