    Ultima VII anyone?

    This classic game can now be completed successful with full sound and graphic support under Windows, Linux and even the emulated Amiga!

    I installed the Black Gate and the 2nd part.... Serpent's Isle. It uses the original extracted(installed) game files, so install it using dosbox (google it... now version 0.61).

    Any Install Exult and it will ask where the Black Gate / Serpent Isle is installed. Once that's done, it will load up and away you go. Many options are now available, ie general midi settings and .ogg support. Also it multi-scalar and blending options are available to reduce pixilisation *ie (2xsal mode). You can change res or use full screen)... see the shots below... I'm really getting into Serpent's Isle... I already did the Black Gate to dead years ago. Get Exult here.

    Attached are some screenshots. Has anyone played these games of late? I'm did have a go at U7 - the Black Gate in 2000 using moslo and a 16bit SoundBlaster ISA soundcard and a suitable bootdisk.

    Here's another one ingame... I'm heading into the city of Monitor where 3 bands of Knight's protect the city. The Bears, the Leopards and the Wolves. There are 3 cities on Serpent's isle.... there is one hell of a story in here.... what you would expect when you see Spectar Warren's name in the titles.... not that I knew much about him then.....

    And this is the loading system's that's now highly flexible with windows/linux a click away.... keeping playing time and count stats....

    On further investigation, the exult site now has links to .ogg 2 files (one for The Black Gate and the other for Serpent Isle) which contains the original MT-32 Roland soundtracks and sound ambience of the original game recorded.

    Anyone here who has played this game - especially Serpent Isle ? I'd like to hear your thoughts on it. I nevered realised the Serpent Isle was so big. There is months in this one..... :)
