Whatcha's think of these 2 that had their first airing on Sky last night. I realise Jake 2.0 has been scraped in the US already so obviously that's going nowhere but Cold Case shows potential.

I missed Jake 2.0! I really wanted to see it! And I'll be in New York all next week, so I cant'get a repeat or the next episode.

    I thought Jake was ****e.

I was gonna do a spoiler but there's no point really.

For starters it's got the worst romantic storyline ever. It's easy to be sure of this cos it's been done so many times before. Jake's in love with the ugly blonde girl, while the sexy lab girl (who wears the typical nerd glasses so you don't know she's sexy ) is going to fall in love with him and never be noticed by Jake. Unrequited love all around just like Willow/Xander/Buffy or every teen movie released in the last 10 years. And you just know if Jake ever does find a pair of testicles and tells the ugly blonde girl he loves her, she's gonna die the very next episode.

He's also got too many superpowers. It's going to be a bit like Knight-Boat : there's always going to be a fjord. No matter what situation he finds himself in there'll always be some machine nearby for him to interface with while the bad guy never notices he's standing on a bull's eye.

Jake 2.0 is a bit silly but I did enjoy "Cold Case". I'll be watching 'em both again anyway. Sure that only means I'm currently watching: The Simpsons, Malcolm in the Middle, Alias, Friends, Scrubs, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Without A Trace [Season 1], C.S.I.: Crime Scene Investigation, Stargate: SG-1, Nip/Tuck, 24, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Law & Order, Without A Trace [Season 2], Smallville, Angel, Jake 2.0, Cold Case, Carnivalé, and the O.C. :D

I thought Jake2.0 was good, reminded me of the Bourne Identity in some ways... although having just read
Blitzkrieger's post (which I think hit the nail on the head), I can't see them keeping it fresh.. knight-boat indeed :D

I'm not really surprised Jake was cancelled, these type of shows are being made the whole time. Cold case was good, early days but there is loads of potential.

Where are you watching alias, stupid sky "Have no plans to acquire season 3 of Alias", yet they can repeat the same episodes of Kirsty's home videos again and again:confused:

The episode I say they other night of Jake 2.0 was dire beyond belief. The lead character is usless. He looks the total wimp and has the most odd run. I fell off the chair laughing. Hes the kinda guy who need a hand opening a paper bag. Let along fight his way out of one. I watched about 20mins then fell asleep.

Didn't he appear in two other no brainers on sky one, one about high school and one about end of the world, sent back in time, Odessy 5 wasn't it?

Both flopped and got binned in the US

The first was "Popular" and it got two seasons so hardly a complete flop. Did you take to watch it or did you judge by ads? It was quite funny and sharp when it wanted to be. It got ruined in the second season because the networks interfered.

The other was "Odyessy 5" which had potential that was never fully realised....

Too true Popular was good up until the last episode of the first series then it flopped spectacularly because of ridiculous storylines.

Did have good potential but the american audience are too fickle and arent happy unless there new shows starting every week:dunno:

I saw cold case and jake 2.0 they were both good but cold case was better.

Does anyone know what the song at the end of Cold Case is when they were going to the court or to jail?

Must admit, I hadn't bothered reading beyond the first few posts - Blitzkrieger summed it up nicely I thought! :)

I watched it on and off and it was ok, Odessy watched first few and then got fed up with it, didn't like it. One i did watch was jerimah where the hell did it go? I used to watch early edition all the time and strange luck, they were good shows!

All time favorite is still quantum leap!

Sky One moved it to a late night slot and finished off season one. Season two has aired in the States but it's subsequently been axed....
