Did they seriously say that? That is such bull! MCD own or have a major stake in virtually all the concert venues in Dublin. They own the ambassador and the Olympia fully, and they own a share of the point along with other places.

Well you can't blame MCD for the lack of a venue with a capacity that the band require. I think people have to understand that the band and the management are fully aware of what the promoters are doing. They know exactly what you are paying at the door because they are getting a chunk of it. It is not always the promoter being greedy.

Who knows? They may be playing Witnness, maybe this Olympia show is purposely intimate to make a (possible) festival appearance significant.

Muse are on the bill for T In The Park in Scotalnd so it is a strong possibility that they will be at the Witnness festival.

Actually, the band did. The info. about them not being viable for the big venues came directly from the horse's mouth in an interview with Zane Lowe.

What are you saying ? MCD should construct a venue for Muse or the should choose an available venue??

    Couldn't have put it better myself ! ! !

The gig sold out and they had a second date added within two hours of tickets going on sale. The second date will probably sell out too, which means that they have sold 2600 tickets in about a week. Surely they could have filled a bigger venue with 5 or 6 months notice ! I hate having to pay E38 for any gig, but I love Muse so much that I haven't really got a choice. Roll on next monday!
