yeah, or just play any one of millions of g,c,d songs but in a,d,e instead
same goes for for d,g,a c,g,f etc..
you're going to have to learn other chords sometime though ;)

name some songs you want to play/artists you like etc .. ?

A D E are the I IV V chord sequence, so basically about 80% of rock, 99% of blues songs will fall under this chord sequence. It's the 'three chord trick' punk was built on.

If you learn G and C you'll be home and dry.

Isn't house of the rising sun
    Am C D F
    Am C E
    Am C D F
    Am E Am?

That's from memory, but pretty sure A D E is not right....

    12 Bar blues work over A D E
    Try

    A---/A---/A---/A---
    D---/D---/A---/A---
    E---/D---/A---/E---

John Lee Hooker it ain't, but it's musically correct.
Substituting the last chords on each line with a 7th will add interest.

"Desire" - U2 (just add the truth for a couple more U2 songs)

The main riff to Back in Black by AC-DC

    E, D, A

Strum E down once, play D strumming down once, then up, then down again, and then play A strumming down once, then up, and then down again.

    There you have the intro!

Get a plugin for winamp called "Pacemaker" which will slow down any song, but keep the original pitch, that will help with any song.

Yeah, you're probably right. Haven't messed with that for years, not since I was messing with acoustics. Not a big "proper chord" player. Stuck in power chord land :(

Wow, that plugin is quality Giblet!
Just downloaded it now for winamp 5.
It's amazing to listen to stuff that's played really fast and hear each note perfectly.

Get to know the C chord and you open up a whole world more songs.

Black by Pearl Jam being one of them.

If anyone has Abbey road by the Beatles, Polythene Pam is mainly revolving around them (D A E)Strummed once each, for some kind of riff. Not sure about the solo though.

    E A
They won't take you to the vet

    D A

    E A
You may not be a bed of roses
