Looking on jes-computer site and they have a "128MB AOpen Aeolus FX5900XT-DV128 RTL" How does this compare to a radeon 9800pro? , and is this a good deal?

    Thanks

As far as I know the nvidia XT's unlike the radeons are a cutdown version of the normal 5900, slower clockspeed that both the 5900, and 5900/5950 ultra. So it's going to be slower than the 9800pro. You'd have to look up some reviews but I think people have found that if you're lucky it'll overclock quite well, beyond the 5900 even in some cases. Really it's a slightly more expensive move up from the 5700 ultras.

the XT's run at 400/700mhz at stock so like cheradenine said they are basically chopped down 5900's which run about 400/850. however they are good overclockers and the bios is flashable to 5950U speeds if you are lucky. they where a good card for the price until the 9800 pro's dropped in price. they are a better buy then a 9600XT as well though i'd stick with the 9800 pro as you said
