    I am gonna buy a pentium 2 from college cos they are going cheap and but my cd burner on it and then my DVD burner on my good PC.

    I got the folks a PII a few years ago, but when I tried to upgrade it it seemed that it only took certain types of RAm on the mother board? I look ed up the web site and this was correct, but I though all PC's took any type of RAM?

    So am I throwing good money after bad, by buying this and maybe it crawls along and I get no real use out of it?

    let me know, thanks

    paddy

    Depending on the mobo, it prolly takes sdram pc 66/100

    Would be a nice testbed for linux methinks, Gentoo would squeeze max performance outta it
