Warez site keeps making itself homepage?

    Left Pc unattended and wifey somehow managed to get searchcentral.cc as my homepage and everytime i change it ,it comes back.
    I cant find anything related to it in the usual directoires.

    Anyone know how its doing this?

    Yep, AdAware will certainly get rid of it, you're going to find 100's of little critters clogging up you puter :D

    another useful tool is CWshredder. specialises in getting rid of the coolwebsearch spyware that infect IE.

    Do a google for it. Then use it in conjunction with spybot for popup and redirection free surfing.

    And after youve run all the spyware stuff get a different browser. IE = nightmare :(

    I tried that with my, er, "wifey". They quickly get frustrated when their favourite website won't display properly on Mozilla/Netscape/whatever (Superquinn being a favourite).

    Adaware, a firewall and and up to date virus checker are a better option to avoid frustrations such as these.
