    i) opinions ski wise ?
ii) which has better nightlife for boozin n that? and is there a big difference between the two, ie: will chamonix be DEAD at night compared to andorra ? (which ive heard is good craic) or is it still good ? pubs/clubs etc?

You will have a better night life in Andorra for sure.

But if it's good ski-ing you want, then courcheval, chamonix, meribel or valthorens are the places to go.

And while not as crazy as andorra, they are lively enough at night.

Livigno in Italy is quite high and guaranteed lots of snow too, didn't like the ski-schools there though.

I loved saux'deaux (sp) also in Italy-a lively town and great ski-ing, if a little scary and steep at the top of the mountain for beginers, good fun though  :D

have been skiing in many different resorts including andorra.
havent been in andorra in years but the nightlife was only average.
Val d'isere in the french alps has a great nightlife and the skiing is fantastic.
nightlife would be closer to what you would expect to find in a typical summer resort than a winter resort in terms of the availablilty of lively nigtclubs and pubs.

Chamonix is an excellent place with an extremely active nightlife. The slopes are quite difficult, if I remember the map correctly there was about 3 or 4 green runs with all the rest being hard blues reds and blacks. Not the best place for a beginner really. Another problem was that you had to get a 15-20 minute bus ride to the slopes. There was 5 areas you could ski in. The buses were a real pain, extremely crowded and uncomfortable. Otherwise its beautiful place.

Tignes got a great covering of snow this year and luckily for me the slopes were at my apartment door. All I had to do was go downstairs pop on the skis and ski to the lifts, bliss. The nightlife was non existant though. People were in bed by 9. Pretty small place too with some nice restaraunts. I also tried my first van chaud there. What a drink! Hot red wine with loads of spices and sugar. I had one every morning and went skiing pretty much plastered, great times.
