ahhhh!!! i just need to vent some anger by posting this (somehow) but anyway if someone could post up some advice on the matter it'd be great:
    here's the situation:

im in love with this girl at school (and it is love, not lust or any of those) and i've been dithering and dathering over whether to ask her out or not. and today i was convinced to do so. so i said id ask her on monday. but wait! god hates me so much that a while after i left school my best friend met her! i was told this by another good friend of mine, but he also said that she only did that to piss off her ex whom she'd only just broken up with. i did a 5 mile run to try and vent some of the anger but that just made me tired and pissed off. and i know im not with her or anything, and i shouldnt even care hugely but jeesus!!

    and again..ahhhh!!!!

By "met", do you mean "kiss"? If so, that's a big problem for me.

yeahs thats a pretty horrible thing to happen alright,,, does your friend know you 'love' her, if so then kik his ass... actually better not do that....

if she has only just broke up with her bf then u might wanna leave it a while... plus if she'll kiss your friend just to get back at her x then u might wanna reconsider your 'love' for her, i personaly hate women like that..

(and it is love, not lust or any of those)

I want you to really think about this one... and when you've thought about it again and still come up with 'love' i want you to be able to accept that you are wrong.

do this, and you won't have any trouble

you dont believe that anyone can truly be in love then?

    why so?

That happened me before. But it was just lust, although it felt like love. I didn't talk to my friend for months. She knew that I was mad about this guy and didn't care. It hurt like hell, so I know what you're going through. But talk to your friend and ask him why he did it.

Maybe it's a sign you two aren't meant to be together.

Well if your mate didnt know you liked her then you hardly have cause to be angry with him.

I think what mordeth is trying to say is that being "in love" with someone you are not or never have been with isw a bit mental.

he's in love without ever being out with her? and "it's love, not lust or any of those".. so quick to defend. it's a crush, nothing more. all you can do is get over it.

i'm going to guess the poster is 16- ? they seem young enough anyway

Not a girl to get with, she could do the same to you and that best friend of yours isnt much of a friend if he did that and he knowing that you liked her

Bull****. Its very easy to say things about a person which are probably not true. The girl just broke up with her ex so there is no reason for her not to be with someone.

Mordie hit the nail on the head, you cant claim to be in love with someone you dont even know well enough to ask on a date! You dont truley love someone until you know each other and know what it is you love about them, because you know them!
and tbh this thread is something that makes me angry :dunno:
