    Saturday

    Wolves v Arsenal 0-3
Arsenal just have too much for Wolves, especially with the players rested mid week

Aston Villa v Leeds United 2-0
Villa seem to have found out how to score, so I'd say more misery for Leeds

    Bolton v Liverpool 2-2
Bolton on a high and playing well, 'Pool inconsistant as ever, dependson what mood Gerrard in.

    Everton v Man Utd 1-2
Everton are in a rut and Utd will want to try get out of their recent dodgy form. Still, I reckon it'll be close.

    Middlesbrough v Blackburn 0-0
Boro' probably on a high after the Carling Cup, but still find it hard to score. Blackburn could be relegation candidates this season with much the same problem.

    Newcastle v Leicester City 3-1
Newcastle have inherited whatever inconsistancy disease is infecting Mersyside right now, but they should be too good for Leicester.

    Southampton v Fulham 1-1
Southampton had a good January and Fulham may have trouble adjusting to life after Saha, still Malbranque et al should be able to hold off the saints.

    Tottenham v Portsmouth 2-0
Spurs should bounce back after midweek and a few of Redknapps old boys will probably relish this.

    Sunday
    Man City v Birmingham 2-1
It really depends on what Man City show up on the day, Birminhams defence was its best asset early on, but that seems to be failing now. City don't bother with defence so I can't see this scoreless.

    Chelsea v Charlton 2-2
Should be a good game with Parkers transfer enough to spark it up. Chelsea are another team with Mersyside-itus and Duff is still their biggest inspiration. Will depend greatly on his presence.

going to see Spurs and pompey, should be interesting to see how spurs react to the nightmare of the other night. (that said, very little has been said that Robbie keane was up front on his own all night after postiga went off, if spurs had a second striker in the second half I think it would have been different, but who cares now!) I think DeFoe will have a good debut, pompey have a few injury issues so cant see spurs loosing this one...but if anyone can **** it up the spurs defence can!!

Should have included these comments in my original post, but anyway. Everyone seems to fancy Arsenal to beat Wolves fairly comfortably, but it looks like a major banana skin to me, and could be very tight. Wolves haven't been beaten at home since september afaik, the difference between their away form and home form is incredible.

Villa and Liverpool look like having relatively easy wins,. Same goes for Man Utd too, although if Brown is shakey Everton have an awful lot of striking options that could hurt them - Rooney, Radzinski, Ferguson, Campbell and Jeffers (cmon franny!!). Can't see em containing Scholes & RVN though.

Oddly i've very similar predictions to Mark Lawrenson - Pool 2-1, Utd 3-1, Toon 3-0, Soton 2-0, Arse 2-1, Chelski 2-0... Fingers crossed we're both wrong on the Utd & Chels games :p

Toon - Leicester, Pompey - Spuds & Man City - Brum look like being crackers!

Parker won't be playing. It was part of the deal when he signed with Chelsea that he wouldn't be available for this game. He'll be in the crowd though

    Saturday

    Wolves v Arsenal 1-2
    Arsenal will scrape through

Aston Villa v Leeds United 2-0
    Leeds are going down.

    Bolton v Liverpool 1-2
Liverpool are looking strong at the moment so they'll just squeeze past Bolton.

    Everton v Man Utd 2-3
Everton will put it up to United, but United will come through it.

    Middlesbrough v Blackburn 2-0
Boro will want to win more. They will be better than Blackburn on the day.

    Newcastle v Leicester City 4-0
Shearer will run riot, Robert will be instrumental. Leicester will not be up to the task.

    Southampton v Fulham 1-1
It will be a dodgy, evenly matched game between the two sides.

    Tottenham v Portsmouth 2-0
The Spurs will be out to prove to everybody that the City game was just a blip on their current form.

    Sunday
    Man City v Birmingham 0-1
Man City will not be good enough. Birmingham will score one of very few chances in the game. Dull encounter.

    Chelsea v Charlton 2-0
You always get a decent enough game between these two. But Charlton will not play as well as the last time these sides met. They will miss Parker.

I predict same as most but for increased fun i going bookies and betting on all the games as i do every saturday.
Everyone should do it as it makes Soccer Saturday more interesting and could win you a few hundred grand.
Dont predict scores only who will win and with 8 premier games odds are about 5000 to 1 to get em all right.

Use a accumulator bet (winnings of each go on the next game and so forth).

Hint : no matter what you do 7 games be going right and Alan Shearer will score in 90th minute to fook you up (has happened twice to me ) :(

I had a bet on 7 games, €50 on it too.

One of those bets was for liverpool to win.

What do people make of Keane's current run of form?

Goals like his first yesterday make you realise he has all the talent in the world, but seemingly not the consistency to apply it all season.

It comes from playing in a mediocre team.

Personally, I think that it all down to confidance.
Now, the goals are flying in and confidance is high, he looks a world beater, but when Spurs were on a ropey run earlier, so of the chances he was missing were pretty shocking.

Still, its good for him as a player to be at 1 club for a couple of seasons, and he seems to be improving. Will be intersting to see who the front 2 will be when Kanoute comes back, and when they finally sign a manager!

Keane was out injured for a month at the start of the season so it would have took him a while to find his touch. IMO this is his best season so far with 11 goals and 5 assists in the league and in the top 5 scorers in the league. At this rate he will catch up with Shearer who hasn't scored in 444mins.

Anyone seen any mpegs/movs/avis of the goal anywhere on the net? I tried a couple of forums, but no result so far.
