So what does everyone think so far...i think last night was the 4th episode.

Thd first 3 weren't as hard hitting as the previous series's but last night was a real cracker...Poor Amy - Josh is a muppet...SHE'S CLASS YOU IDIOT.

Will Will leave, Will CJ resign (i think its going to come to a head pretty soon) , Will Bartlet get his campaing back on track??

I think there is a noticeable difference as the writers changed a little on the show, I'm pretty sure Aaron Sorkin left ut who filled his shoes...the guy from ER AFAIK??

I enjoyed last night, though I though it lacked some of the humour of previous episodes.

Im enjoying it so far. The first three episodes were mainly about Zoe which is understandable.

With last nights I got the feeling that there is something big about to happen down the road and the build up started last night. Why is Toby going on and on about their new message constantly in the last two episodes? There is no underlying story as yet this season so maybe its about to surface.

Looks like Will is gone to the VP. Hes not bad but I prefered Lowe for the pisstaking.

    Are you people mad?

Im a big fan of The West Wing, in my opinion this season has been terrible. First of all you know that Tommy Schlamme and Aaron Sorkin have left? These are the two creaters and executive producers of the show and were responsible for each and every FANTASTIC episode from season 1-4.

In their place the show has been left in the already full arms of John Wells (Er, Third Watch, Presidio Med) Which has lead to the 'er-ification' of this show. Gone, is the snappy intellegent dialogue- no wonder CJ wants to quit, she's talking rubbish!

Im hoping for improvement, but I think I'll be dissapointed. Wells just doesnt have the talent to replace Sorkin and Schlamme and unfortunitly the 'Wing' is loosing its momentum.

well said kodac - new series blows. very dissapointeed by episodes 1 and 2, but it does seem to be getting better by hte episode. i have reassurance from fans oversees that, while it never does reach its former glory, it gets pretty close.

i enjoyed constituency of One, but it wasnt hte west wing. my little crumb of comfort is that the teasers at hte start are still fantastic.

Note: all u west wing fans should head over to www.bartlet4america.org for further discussion among WW nuts!

    Hi,

I just joined this board now.

I think that a lot of people are over analysing the fact that Aaron and Tommy have left and are expecting way too much from John Wells. He has the hardest job in television right now-he knows that everything he does will just be compared to Aaron. This season has not been TWW from the past four seasons but it is bound to change because it is a different writer.

I enjoyed the first episode of season 5, the second was a bit of a let down because Zoey was found so suddenly but since then I have enjoyed it more and more each week. I hear the next few episodes are good.

Anyway, that's just what I think.

The new series hasn't really hit the mark for me so far. Can't really put my finger on why.
