I used to love turtles in time. Used to love the original spiderman game on the sega megadrive as well - BUT I COULD NEVER BEAT IT!

If anybody knows how, once you have all the keys and you get to the box at the end, you can open it without it suddenly running down to 0 in the timer before you can put them all in, please tell me! I will go out and buy a sega megadrive and that game just to finally finish it!!! I loved that game.

The original X-men game in the arcade wasn't too bad either, but not great. Spent hours playing the avengers game in the arcade. S'all good :)

For my part, nearly every marvel game i've ever played has been terrible. The old punisher arcade game was alright (and the console adaptation didn't really work). There was one decent spiderman on Megadrive, then they did that spiderman and venom nonsense, which consisted of hitting the same bad guys over and over again, nearly getting to the end and then hurling the joypad through the tv as your hero once again demonstrates that he has the powers of a snotball when confronted with some random street hoodlum.

The snes war of the gems game was alright, considering, certainly an improvement on the original avengers game on snes and megadrive.

My main gripe, however, is that apart from the war of the gems game there has never been a decent game with Iron man in it. They've all sucked. All of them. It's as if the developers go "well, we've spent ages on the sprites, but the game engine sucks...oh well, do you think they'll notice? nah, me neither".

It'd be lovely to see Marvel actually produce a decent game with their licences, but I won't be holding my breath. As for DC and batman...well, the gameboy batman games were always good (I can't say the same about Gameboy Advance batman tho) but the console ones went a bit samey after a while....I reckon there's potential for some great games there though.

I remember a lot of marvel games being kinda ok, one of them was an x-men platform game on the snes, decent enough.

I think i hated just about every Batman game mad to date, probably because it was just batman superimposed over a streets of rages game (and who could not love that).

I don't know if it counts (mainly cause I don't know if there was a comic of it) was the Turles platform game on the snes (i know this was like streets of rage but it had a better arcade feeling to it).

I agree with Flysh though, I still havent seen an anyway decent game with Iron Man. And that's one mistake that needs to be fixed.

marvel have started their own games company now, but i'm not sure of future releases. the next spiderman game looks pretty sweet though, as does the punisher's forthcoming game.

it's not based on a comic book character, but rather comic books in general, but XIII is pretty damn sweet..

Now that was a great comic/cartoon to game conversion!!

I'd have to agree that the turtles have the best record for consistently good game adaptations....my personal favourite was the original arcade game in the proprietary casing with the 4 joysticks for great multiplayer action :D

Haven't played hyperstone heist but it's supposed to be pretty good - must try and get a copy sometime...
