    Hi all

Just looking for some help for a girl I work with.

She is heading back home to Japan within the next year, but is looking to get back to localisation before she leaves.

Does anyone know of any companies around Dublin that may be interested in hiring her as a localiser.

A sample of work is available on request (either pm or email)

    thanks

A good start will be http://www.lisa.org/ many of the members (the big names) have branches in Ireland.

What do you mean by "localiser", is she a linguist (i.e. she can translate and review) or engineering in Japanese or maybe QA?

There's a lot of request for Japanese localisation, so (if she has some experience) she should be able to find something... especially on a contract for few months.

She is fluent Japanese, but has excellent written and spoken English.

For definition of localiser - she can translate or even do technical translations for software, etc.

Microsoft.... don't know if they are looking now though.
They have their localisation headquaters out in Leapordstown for the EMEA products.
