Serious Pain

Hey im just looking for some information on whats wrong with my throat.

On the right hand side of it there s serious pain, it hurts me to speak and i cant swallow without nearly passing out from the pain. I cant eat or anything and i havent slept fopr the last two nights.

I was out at a birthday party saturday night and we were drinking smirnoff ice with this kind of tube thing that lets the gas pass out so you can drink it really fast. Someone suggested that it was a result of that which is the cause of the pain in my throat.

However i was roaring and shouting til about 6 o clock that morning because we were staying in the same place that the party was on. Is it possible that i have strained my voicebox or something?

Can anybody tell me whats wrong with me and what i can do about it. I need help seriously.

    Good Luck

Why not go to the doctor....some pain killers/antibiotics might sort it.

this is not a medical board and if you are in that much pain get yourself off to a doctor today

but none of those doctors will see me until tomorrow, is there any easy soloution out of it?

surely theres a doctors surgery still open at this time-ring around :)

Failing that you could go down to A+E if it's really paining you, and is too uncomfortable to wait untill tomorrow.
p.s now would be the time to go to the a+e as the queues might be longer later.

Killing yourself might ease the pain.....

.......but really go to the A+E.

do you have tonsils? unless you've had them out it could be that, but in any case whatever it is ditto to the going to see the doc thing.

Sounds glandular to me. Cut them off. Or, alternatively, go to the doctor.

You've probably irritated the lining of your throat. Gargle with soluble Dispirin.

Sounds like a gland to me too - I often get this. If it hurts to press your throat and it feels like a hard lump then it's probably a swollen gland. I'm not a doctor though so go get a proper opinion if it's not improving by tomorrow...

Going to the A+E for a sore throat?

I hope to Jeebus that none of ye actually do that....

Is it any wonder Casualty Departments around the country are swamped?

I work in a hospital... some people have a right nerve. Coming into hospital with a twisted ankle or an earache... and then complaining that they arent being dealt with efficiently.

Accident + Emergency is for accidents and emergencies. NOT sore throats, people!
