A course will be starting in two weeks in which we will train volunteers up to level 2 standard in power boating and rescue techniques. We are a water search and rescue unit based in Dunlaoghaire and operate on a voluntary basis. You will be required to join up as a serving member of the Civil Defence corps, there is no minimum service requirement and may resign at any time. serving members of the Defence forces, Slua, and the Gardai are excluded from becoming members of Civil Defence. There is a very limited number of places available
