    Hi,

Basically I'm moving from England to Ireland and have been told that a UK TV and VCR will not function correctly in the Rep. of Ireland, is that correct?

The TV and DVD player is ~1yr old. The VCR is ~3yrs old
    The TV Userguide stats
    PALI/I
    VHF(Band I/III)
    UHF (Band U)
    Hyperband
    Cable TV (S1-S20/S21-S41)

If indeed I have a problem how do I get round it and roughly how much might it cost?

    cheers
    Trev

some UK TV sets are UHF only and will not recieve VHF (used in some parts of Ireland for RTE1&2 and most cable systems)

From the specs you quote though here should be no problem
