I was thinking of getting some comedy DVD's (eg Tommy Tiernan,good Father ted scenes) and converting them to MP3 so i can put them on my iPod. Is there a program that will let you do that?

Try HeadAC3he

Converts from AC3 on the DVD to wav or mp3.

Grabbable from here (under "software")

Look at Robot4Rip from the same site (selecting audio as you go)
