Well what do you think happened

1.the galaxy and nebula where designed at the same time
2.The galaxy was designed first
Or
3.the nebula was designed first ?

Secondly what role do you think the Nebula was really built to fully ?

I personaly think the nebby was designed and built first then the galaxy was built/designed with parts and know how from the nebby.....Also i think the nebby is a warship built to be the main man in any war against the Cardies rommies or some other minor powers

Those old oberth class scienceships, lol 1 hit from a klingon disrupter and the whole ship would blow

well think about it the Galaxy looks the same as the nebby but bigger and is a scince/exploreing ship .....Why build and design two ships from the same parts to do the same job ? it would make no sence

Im not sure i always assumed the galaxy was more of a combat vessel classafied as a explority science vessel. Like the way defiant ships are officaly "escort ships"

I always thought the nebula was the real sceince ship and the only reason the enterprise D went on so many sceince/first contact missions is cause they where the flag ship and wanted to make good impression.

Galaxy is a explorer/Heavy cruiser but mostly a Explorer (ya dont build the ship that nice if its a warship) The nebby would be a lesser exploer/Cruiser but because theris more of them they would be the better warship ......Takes like 3-5 years to build a galaxy class would take half that to build a nebby with the weapions pod giveing it around 12-15 torp launchers and equaling the phaser power of the galaxy class.....So i think it is the better warship no supprise really if it was built dureing the war with the cardies

I have heard more than 1 person say they would love to see a star trek seris set during the cardie war , with lots of ground battles and trench ware-fare.

Do you know what exeatly the deal with the Akira class is.
Would it be a Crusier or Escort?

Do you believe that the Galaxy-X will every be produced ?
or do you think its just something that is in many games/mods and episodes set in the future and we wont ever see it mass produced?

Well when you think about it ........The Venture class refit of the galaxy class already has the extra 2 phasers on the Naccels of the ship many galaxys have also been upgraded with high power warp cores abitive hull armour Etc........

SO the galaxy already has the 2 new phasers......The extra naccel might be added to allow transwarp speeds ......The Phaser lance would come along as well with weapions researce against the borg (borg cubes are big and slow notting the fixed high power phaser lance cant deal with).......and if the rommys are desrtoyed by the klingons theirs notting stoping the feds fitting cloaks to their ships

So ya id say its going to be built and you seen what that bitch can do to klingon Negvar class ships .......i dont know if we will ever see one again though

Yes it was slightly too powerfull to have in more episodes. But we can hope.

well you got to wonder what would be the point....That ship would rape any ship and seeming the galaxy at that point would be around 30-40 years old can you imagen what its replacement would be like :eek: they could rename it the Galaxy destroying class

and according to voayager about 5-10 years after the galaxy-X is built , the federation will have the "deploy amour" "stealth mode" "transphasic torpedos"
Can you imagine a galaxy-X with all those weapons???

i always though of the nebula as more of a scientific explorer, highly suited so scientific work due to the interchangeable pod type thingy depending on the mission, not sure what was designed first must look up star trek encyclopedia but not at home will sort out later.

I read somewhere the Nebula Class is the work horse of the federation, its equiped with exchageable weapons and sensor modules, and was origionally designed to recover the sauser section of galaxy class vessles.

A nebula class vessle was sent to recover the Enterprises sauser section in Generations

i've read it plus most of williams shatners other star trek related books which are quite good.

i don't think the nebula class was sent to recover the saucer in the sense that it would ever dock with the saucer or anything, more like tractor it up or something
