Holy f*ck! Is that 9 or 10 strings? 2 outputs, 7 controls, what looks like only 2 pickups... you could go from Korn to Steve Vai on that thing, with the right set of strings!

9 strings? Are ye bent? :p

    REAL men play 10 :D

But 6'll do just fine for me, thanks ;)

9 strings. Dual outputs, possibly a piezo bridge, 2 volumes for magnetics, 1 for piezo, and bass, mid and high controls. Just guessing of course.

That 9 stringer has optical pickups!

Of course, when you get good, you'll want a 14 string bass :)

Trust Feylya to pick the girly instruments. They only count if they're a different key. ;)

Those last two are nice. Harley Benton? :p

It must be made of great materials 'cos the €209 certainly wasn't paid for labour.

God Bless communism. Made in China with an iron fist :p

Sure the body is made from esh. You should just get one for "research".

then send it to me when you're finished.

Research? You mean how quickly 'esh' succumbs to flame, I hope? :p

Guitar - pieces of wood and metal put together in order to create sound by plucking metal or plastic strings.

tbh I'd worry about the aucenthicity (sp?) of the EMG's. No logos....

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,848 ✭✭✭✭Doctor J

    Meh

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 23,363 Mod ✭✭✭✭feylya

Every EMG has a logo on it. There was some dodgy copies going around a while ago but they were stopped afaik.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,848 ✭✭✭✭Doctor J

I'd suspect it came from this, so it's at least 15 years old, so plenty of time for the logo to wear off (took me just over a year with a set of 'Select by EMG' pickups)

You can just make out the EMG logo.

The logo on my SD is wearing out, and it's only two years old.

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 23,363 Mod ✭✭✭✭feylya

I can't see any sign of the logo tbh. And EMG logo's are fairly heavily dug out of the plastic. Select by EMG is just painted on.
