    As far as I know, it should work fine, I mean I can't see any reason it wouldn't. I've seen spirit desks work with digi lite setups. Don't take my word as gods truth but I'm pretty confident I'm right.

    It's all down to whether the inputs and outputs of each match up.

    Are the connectors the same format? ( You won't have much luck trying to plug a guitar lead into an optical sp-dif connector for example. Doesn't the Digi use ADAT for digital interfacing and the soundcraft uses TDIF? )

    Is the grounding policy the same on both? ( balanced or unbalanced connections )

    Are the impedances/levels matched? ( consumer or pro levels )

    Does that soundcraft have direct outs on each channel? You'd want that for most setups.

    Will the desk be used to mix outs from the desk or as preamps for the desk ins or both?

    thanks lump and musician.ie. the mixing desk was connected to the rack easily and only needed a firmware upgrade (hyperterminal skillz) in order to get it working. any piece of software with mixing desk compatibility works fine now.
