Acorn Archimedes Emulator

Hi. Has anyone tried out any of the 2 main Acorn Archimedes emulators? The two main ones I have heard of are Archie and Red Squirrel.

My movation is to try ArcElite. This version of Elite was supposed to be the best version of the Original Elite. My own opinion was the Amiga version. I found the C64 slightly jerky and unresponsive at times... but considering the machine it did a good job.
The roms were tricky to find but they are out.

Actually has anyone here ever owned one. I am amazed that this machine did not make a bigger impact than it did. It was technically a very good RISC machine and x2 as fast as the Amiga. Unfortunately it costed quite a bit 700+ sterling. It died around 1990 and the top end boasted a 120Mb HD. Looked a bit like a PC.
