Saving your position in C64 games?

Is there any way with C64 emulators to 'save' the current state of the game you're playing? ie if you're only level 7 of some game with 2 lives left and 6million points etc that you can save your current state and then restart the game at some later time under the same conditions?

I'm pretty sure this is possible as I've done it with the 'Arnie' Amstrad emulator but as of yet I don't see how to do it with my C64 emulator.

BTW, I'm using the CCS64 emulator by Hakan Sundal at the moment. It's an old version of the prog so I'm willing to d/l a new version or even get another emulator if need be.

Any ideas / reccomendations welcome. Thanks!

Was running frodo from my 7650 yesterday and I was able to save my progress in Kenny Dalgleish manager.

    So I'd say it's possible.
I'll try that emu now and let ya know.

    Use WinVice. http://www.viceteam.org/

Snapshot menu -> Save snapshot, load snapshot.

Just tried it and works a treat.
