This is probably the most ideal job I have ever seen but i am not very confidence. I finished my Leaving Cert in June and my only work experience is with Dunnes Stores for 2 months, although I worked for my father for a few months. I am from a rough area of Dublin and I am not the kind of person you would see working in an office. As I said this job would be ideal for me because I don't need any experience (although experience obviously plays a factor in their decision) and I will be starting a degree in CS in September so a six month contract is perfect.

I have been in over 7 interviews and only managed to get one job but this interview would be the most nerve racking. I am actually nervous thinking about it, the thoughts that are running through my head are things like what would I wear if I got the Job?:(

Anyway, I will be e-mailing them my CV, any tips for the cover note, interview, and the big, big question, what do Office admins wear?;) :D

    Thanks.

    Thanks.
    shirt, tie, black/grey trousers/shoes?
If you're an Office Junior that would be about the maximum level of formal style wear they'd expect.
Probably best to start the job in that kind of clothes, see how casual the office is after a week. My office is fine with jeans jumper and dark coloured runners. No tracksuits or white runners, and suit when meeting clients usually.

If they offer you the job say thanks and all that, and then just ask what the office dress code is.

Also since they've only given a general jobs email address it might be an idea to send your CV then call up and ask for someone dealing with the recruitment for that position. Have a few questions ready, did you receive my CV, etc.

Lots more info about interview on this forum

    good luck!

Answering requests for information on this guy and that guy. Placing phone calls. Getting coffee for people, and The duties of this post will be data entry and filing of documents. "Administrator" is a kind of general term for someone who does all the little jobs that don't fall into any one person's job description :D

And in case anyone doesn't already know.....
Beware the difference between Administrator and Systems Administrator. They're very different beasts :)

    Oh yeah...
because I don't need any experience (although experience obviously plays a factor in their decision) and I will be starting a degree in CS in September so a six month contract is perfect.
Mention that in the interview. It shows that you're interested in gaining experience in a work environment (as opposed to sitting on your arse until September) and also the fact that you are going to college shows that you're ambitious and motivated.

What's that got to do with the price of potatoes? Nothing! Really it doesn't matter where you come from (unless you actually send your CV in on the back of a Corn Flakes box and attend an interview in White Reeboks and a Hilfiger Top :p)
(as seamus said, beware the job description, Dogsbody vs Dog's bo||ox)
    Good luck :)

    It is what it's.
