Rumour

I heard a bit of a rumour off a few hardcore wrestling fans and friends of mine today that somehow the Royal Rumble will end in a draw between Benoit and Goldberg.

Apparently then Benoit will meet HHH at WM for the title with Goldberg meeting Brock.

I didn't pay much attention to it but on reflection it kinda makes sense. Theres been a lot about Benoit going to raw of late and if Goldberg met Brock then it would explain why the two kinda "met" at a PPV recently.

And it doesn't look like Goldberg will be easily beaten judging by this week's Raw.

Doubt if Goldberg gives a sh|t at this point because he's STILL arguing about money that he doesn't even need! So it doesn't look as if his contract is going to be renewed anyway.

So having him win or draw in the rumble doesn't really have a point if he's not going anywhere after Wrestlemania anyway.

exactly what nero said. on 1 hand you have benoit who has been oustanding for wwe for as long as i can remember, and one the other a guy who may not be in th company after the next 3 ppv's.

why dont they have benoit and goldberg be the last two alright, but have benoit eliminate him cleanly after 10 mins of grappling.

also it makes no sense to have goldberg fight brock in the main event of the biggest ppv of the year if he might be gone the next day (literally). i say its time to have goldberg taken off tv (do an injury angle) until he signs, or else let him go, and good riddance to bad rubbish.

I dunno, last time they pulled an injury angle on RAW, it resulted in HHH getting even more over-exposed than he already was! ;)

Speak for yerself, I never liked the baldy three move wonder! :)
The sooner he joins Nash on the exit queue, the happier i'll be, then maybe, just maybe someone like Jericho or Michaels (or someone who knows how to actually work!) might get a proper run at the top (none of this "take the belt for a month while i recover from injury" crap)

Well Shawn Michaels will be the top face on RAW for a while more.....no more than he richely deserves with perfomances he has been putting in.

and nero is right...as soon as goldberg goes the better. he has no personality at all which means his mic work sux thus his entertainment value is way down with the likes of mark henry

Ah lads, stop saying i'm right all the time, i'd like to be able to get my head out of the door when i leave work today ;)

Seriously folks, I'll admit that I was very wary of the Michaels comeback, but he's proved to me that since last years Wrestlemania, he's worked his bollocks off to deserve a run, to be held back by the likes of the baldy three move wonder and the company man just seems a tad unfair.

But hey... i'm not telling you anything you don't already know! ;)

speeking of goldberg i was wondering where his grapevine anclelock and superkick went to (makeing him a 5 move wonder in wcw) and in his present state id love to see him gone. he once said he wouldnt sell punches because they wouldnt hurt in real life but in real life people like jerico and michials would kill him. to ovw with him because he still draws and could be a good draw if he could wrestle.

id love to see benoith win the rumble hes my faverate wrestler by far and was since 2000 (rock vs benoith)he knows how to wrestle his mik skills have improved beyond either of the champions and is one of the hardest workers ive ever seen

Lesnar uses one move and Michaels uses the other, which is why Goldy can't use them. His kick also put Bret Hart on the shelf which is probably the reason he can't use it in WWE, they can't risk it.

Richards and O'Haire are two examples of that as well.
Richards can't use his (far superior Superkick) because Michaels.
As for O'Haire, i don't see why he can't use his Swanton now, if Orton can use the fsckin' Diamond Cutter!

Although i heard O'Haire is off to OVW, which is a damn shame :((

The Cena/Lesnar match at last years Backlash was top class, I'd love to see the PPV rematch of that.

the only way they can even consider a lesnar - goldberg match at WM is if lesnar wins. especially if godberg is leaving. there is no way vince will let goldberg beat brock if theres a chance he'll be NWA champion within a few months (and with some of TNA's recent signings goldberg going there isnt out of the question) brock is way to valuable. but like smiaras said, how likely is it that goldberg will watch the lights for brock?

Maybe if a contract renewal was on the line.

i still doubt it would make a differance to him for 2 reasons.

    1. we all know he made a packet out of wcw.

    2. he always seems intent on career suicide.

Personally there is only one man who should win the RR and that man is Benoit

Quite simply put he is the most underated, underused and mis-used talent that the WWE have.

Granted he has no real mic talents, but why should he - he lets his wrestling talk for him.

He has pulled fantastic matches out of injured wrestlers (Austin) and ring sloths (A Train).

It would be a real shame if WWE did this "draw" scenario - there can be only one winner and it should be Benoit

    rant over :)

Id like to see Cena win the Rumble, but its way to early in his career....even though hes been round near 2 years. Its way too early in his Main-Eventing career. There you go.

Maybe next year,he'll win it for sure-if not him, then Randy Orton. Them two would make a great pair at WM.

    Benoit for champion!!!

Was just thinking actually that maybe they could do a loser has to leave the WWE thing with Lesnar winning. Would give goldberg reason to leave. Maybe let Lesnar win by cheating so he leaves with some pride or something.

Whats the bets he'll leave, and then he'll realise that hes missing out,and wanna come back. But you're prob right with the little prediction, james.
