this might not be the best forum for this but I've seen a a few other marriage-related questions here.

getting married later in the year - looking for a venue in Wicklow or Sth Dublin.
its not going to be a huge wedding so we don't want to be rattling around some cavernous hotel.

    Anyone got any suggestions?

    TIA

    Loyatemu.

The Brook Lodge in Aughrim is fantastic, they have a gorgeous room that isn't huge.

They have just finished their swimming pool etc so it's gorgeous.
I have been to 2 weddings there, and am going to another in a few weeks time.
fab venue, excellent good, lovely rooms!

yeah I was at one there myself a couple of years ago and it was very nice but i remember it as being quite big

I've seen a place in stillorgan advertised called "Beaufort Mews" - anyone know anything about it?

Kinnity Castle. Not Dublin or Wicklow but not far either. Intimate castle hotel very comfortable. lots of medieval decor and a long hall for a dining room. Their website wasn't a good reflection and seems to be down for now.

There's that country hotel also in Rathnew. Sorry name escapes me. Small intimate too

    Tinnakilly House Hotel. http://www.tinakilly.ie Rathnew

May be pricy. Took a girlfriend there one weekend. Very impressed especially when we picked up a picnic basket for consumption on the lawn overlooking the sea in the sun. (Hotel) highlight is the food

Rathnew isn't a classy joint but Tinakilly surely is, but I agree it could be fairly pricey!

I've eaten there a few times, food is great and they have a courtyard that would be nice for photo's etc.

It would be a very intimate setting, very close to Oatlands College in Stillorgan and close to Stillorgan shopping Centre.

Parking can be tricky during the day.

Not a PI. Maybe try the weddings and marriage forum. The clue is in the name and they likely have better advice on hand.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.
