Anyone care to reccommend any quality midlands based bands to play at a grad dance next september?

They're a bit national but have members from Laois, Limerick (as well as other places) but Big Generator are a quality act.

Dunno if they'd play a grads dance but there's no harm in asking I suppose.

Email biggen@iol.ie for more info. They do a really wide range of stuff so would be perfect in my opinion if you could get them. I'm sure anyone who has seen them will back my recommendation up.

Yeah we were thinking of Big Generator alright, because they've a very good rep. Unfortunately I've been told they'd set us back €3,000 plus their accomodation costs! which for a crowd of 100-130 is beyond our budget. I'm gonna send them an e-mail anyway to check how accurate that price is.

Big Generator would be a really good choice. I have considerable doubts about that quoted price and would definitely check that out. And yes they do do grad gigs... Their playin at my sister's debs and we go to a pretty low budget school and there'd be only about 80 at the debs so i'm sure they're a little cheaper than that. Some fairly alright amateur bands would be...

    Adrenalin (based in Loughrea)
Full Sox (Based in Portumna, class act)
Few bands round the woddford area, can't remember names but shall post again w info.

I'm still waiting on a reply from them. Hopefully it will be less than €2,000. We're hitting a bit of luck at the moment because there's a series of gigs on in the palace bar in Athlone over the next few weeks. In school this morning everyone was telling us to get the band that played there last Friday.
I think they were called Daze or somethings like that.
