Foreign Language Software

    Hi,
Probably the wrong forum but not sure where to post this. Has anyone ever used language software or tapes / cds / dvd's to learn a foreign language? I'm thinking of buying software to learn Spanish. Has anyone else done a new language by themselves? If so could you recommend some software for it, or is it too difficult to learn a language on your own?

    Thanks.

The Pimsleur series are supposed to be good. I went through 3 or 4 CD's from their Italian series - of course trying to learn Italian 3 weeks before going to Italy on holiday is probably not the best approach.
