Channel 4 has fallen the furthest, it used to be the place for interesting left-field programmes at main stream times but now its property porn or tabloid (wife swap etc) the daytime is time filling ****e and er thats about it.

MTV, no question IMHO! As oneweb says, where's the music? I am also sick of constant reruns of Cribs, Osbournes and Jackass, etc.

As far as the terrestrial channels go, the award would have to go to ITV, simply because I seldom find anything interesting to watch on it.

C4 and BBC get most of my terrestrial allowance.

Have you watched "Wife Swap"? To dismiss it merely as "tabloid" is a tad ignorant. The show was very well received - by both audience and critic. It was quite well made. Dismiss the other 99% of C4's content but recognise a well made show when it's on....

And defintely MTV: what the fcuk happened to the M in their name?

MTV makes more sense if you have a digital connection...MTV2 on the other hand is definitely one of the best channels going today

I'd say that channel 4 has fallen a good bit in terms of quality. ITV has always been shít really...was a bit shítter than normal last year though...

How can anyone say Channel 4? Its by far the best channel.

    Allways something different on it.

There's only one good thing about sky one. The simpsons. All the rest is well ****. The same typical english people on holiday doing "Outragous" things in order to "pull". great

Sorry for not putting MTV on the poll. Did think of it. But now that you say it......?

I havent watched MTV in years - not since they got rid of Ray Coakes. While i consider it the worst tv channel we have at the moment, seeing as how it has been crap for so long and just cant get any worse, it dosent get my vote.

Itv is woeful, and has been like that for a good while. Bugger all worth watching and they cut movies shown to hell and pop in ad breaks like mad.

TV3 started off ****e and didnt get much better. Used to watch those really really crappy movies I had never seen before but the amount of adds they show wind me up even more than sky1.

BBC class channel, cant lay any complaints on that broadcaster at all.

RTE pack of amature ****. Always have been and always will be. Happy to sit in the **** they have and dont even bother to try like TV3 does.

C4 - how the mighty has fallen. From such greatness to shallow mind numbing bollocks like the salon and big brother and every other fly on the wall drama they can get. Still some quality shows on there but far to few and far between. Since they launched the second channel they went to the dogs.

    C4 gets my vote.

One thing about channel4 is that they seem to be cutting back on the soft porn. I remember 5 years ago or so you were guranteed to get some sort of porn after 11pm. Pity its all gone :(

RTÉ have just never improved. They have tried a couple of times but never really changed anything radically. They are keeping as conservative as ever.

Network2 [or RTÉ Network 2 as their tag says ] is just been a disaster. Schedualling is possibly the worst yet with things all over the place. Not to mention the whole cutting movies in half and adding on 30minutes so they can have [what could be pre recorded insted of live] news at 11pm.

BBC1 and BBC2 are really suffering from, well nothing new. BBC2 have been constantly showing repeats of those now very annoying 70's sitcoms. Though bare in mind, they did repeat Red Dwarf and Fast Show every night over Christmas which was great. Come back after the pub and settle down to the last of the fantastic BBC2 shows. BBC2 really needs to get good shows such as Red Dwarf and Fast Show back.

ITV has been a tabloid channel for too long. Those silly Saturday evening programs and constant "Im a Celebrity getting not enough coverage so give me a show" rubbish. They try make themselves look all 'upclass' in a way but are just, well .... not.

Channel4 has just become mind knumbing. The Salon shouldnt be allowed and neither should Big Brother. Sure maybe the first series was allowed but its all now being milked beyond belief. Lets not forget that Shatterd tripe. Also where has the Channel4 classic comedy gone? Who remembers "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" a show that I would actually LOVE to be repeated!

this is news to me that TV3 try. TV3 try what. Try to allow RTE be "Happy to sit in the **** they have"?

If TV3 where to actually try maybe RTE would sit up and do something, TV3 haven't tried they have taken the easy route of rerun after rerun and buying in series that already had an audience on RTE.

TV3 haven't tried anything, and they won't until they make a profit.

RTE/NET2 - the "sexy" saxophone music for the Aero ad they play before and after EVERY SINGLE F**KING AD BREAK (of which they are many). Nothing like it to destroy my enjoyment of a film!

Just being pick but that is just the Midweek Movie on RTE One. But indeed they need new bumpers for the aero adds. I like the previous ones.

Also the pick the woman with the worst lips teeth and chin to do that add. ????
