Is my understanding correct on how these things work. You feed feed from the STB into you PC's tuner card (as scart to composite?), then from your tuner card into the TV. The PC has a irda receiver for the PVR remote and a irda transmitter to communicate to the STB to change channels. Has anyone tried this with NTL Cable.…

Has anyone tried this with NTL Cable. Also what are people's thoughts on PVR software? - Freevo, myth, Windows Media Centre 2004?

Also what puzzles me is I thought this whole thing was digital, but my reckoning you are recording analog from the STB - is this right? I thought digial signal only worked over RGB SCART? (but I'm not sure), can Tv Tuner cards accept this?
