    Hi all

    First time poster to this forum and have had a look through the last year or so posts and would like to post a new thread because I feel there's more info out there.

    Seriously thinking of long weekend in NYC - need a break and the yo yo is so strong at the minute

    Anyhow, my travel expereince to date is Crete and Morocco, so I know SFA about flights/accomodation/what to do/costs in relation to a weekend in NYC

    Who should I travel with / how much should I expect to pay?- my preference is the cheapest one stop from Shannon to NYC
    Accomodation - I can make use of recent thread on Hotels in NYC, unless there's some flight/hotel deal out there ye know about
    How long to go for - was thinking leaving on a THursday, back Sunday/Monday - not pushed on number of days or days of departures so really down to price breaks, if there are any
    WHat to do for 3 days? What MUST I see, should I book anything in advance
    What should I be aware of? Crime etc
    What to pack? WIll severe weather ruin it all?
    Any other tips?

    Would realy appreciate feedback, because the missus deserves a break and I just want to organise it all and surprise her
