game demos time limits

Lets say i download a game which has a time limited trial period. The trial period runs out and the game won't work anymore. I delete the game from the hard-drive, adn download it again, but the clever little thing knows i've had a previous version?? how does it know?? and how can i get around it??

It stores some info in the registry id imagine, hax around with that
