Worst film ever, do not go to see this under any circumstances...

Ben affleck is the worst actor ever, uma thurman has the most annoying laugh ever. The story is ****, the script is ****, the special effects are **** and the stunts are ****, the direction is **** and most of all the casting was ****.

All in all, it's the worst film i ever saw in the cinema.

Makes an odysey true life story look like a piece of cinematic history.

    Harsh....

Sure, its not going to win any oscars, and Ben Affleck is incredibly wooden, but the story was pretty good - it was a clever idea (with plot holes big enough to fly planes through if you thought about it too much!), but it was hardly the worst movie ever.

Its merely average, and not a bad way to spend 2 hours of your life.

Still sticking by what I said.
It's the worst movie i ever saw in the cinema :).

I think it was mainly ben affleck that made me hate it so much.

Fair to say that you don't go to the cinema much? :)

Out of the current crop of releases (and movies just gone) - Stuck On You, Triggermen, Timeline, SWAT and The Medallion are all worse (and thats just since the start of December).

    - Dave.

i haven't seen it but all the publicity indicates it's a bad film. i'm no fan of affleck but uma thurman is a decent actress... but not enough to drag me to the cinema

I've watched a lot of tripe in my days and this piece of poo is right up there. The script/story stank. I know its science fiction and I like a good yarn but there has to be some level of logic to events. This was just stupid. The characters were as generic as they come. Cardboard Ben, seriously someone should tell him to stop acting, for his own sake, hes really really bad. Although hes not entirely at fault the script was terrible. Lines to cringe to at every turn. Uma as the "bubbly" love interest, with a token bit of fighting just to add depth to her character. Generic evil dudes. And Bens friend shorty always there to lend a hand.

About half way through the film I began to laugh as I realised that there was still a long way to go and there was no escape for me. Once I turned this corner I perversly enjoyed as each scene in one way or another managed to make me cringe...

And the ending was the ultimate, if only someone had told a joke and they could have all laughed as the credits rolled by....

If you want to see how not to make a film go see this.

Poo poo of the highest order. Suprised this even made it the cinema.

After reading these glowing reviews, I'm heartbroken to think I won't be seeing this movie due to lack of my own interest...

I wasted 2hrs of my life last night watching this crud. Is there a form to fill out so I can have them back.

    brutal, brutal film.

on the lighter side, refreshing to hear the audience laughing at the unintentional humour.

I'm never watching another John Woo movie again. MI2 was terrible and almost bested by paycheck.

Affleck did his best which isn't that much tbh. The direction called for all close ups and action. I expected there not to be much character development cos it's an action movie, but I just didn't believe Afflecks character. I did think that Thurman played her part well, she was probably the best of a bad bunch.

    5/10 Some decent action scenes.

I was in town and was waiting for friends to come in
    i had 2 choices

1.Go home have shower then go back into town
2.Go to the cincima then come out and meet friends

I have the UGC Unlimited card so cincima is free for me so i decide what the hell ill go see paycheck cause its the only thing on at this time.

I wasent good but it wasent REALY bad
I wouldent recemend paying to see it.

BTW if you dont know about the UGC unlimited card you pay a small monthly fee (16 euro the price of 2 cincima tickets) and you can see as many filem as you want for that month.

    Its a great deal

All copies of this mental-excrea should be found and burned.

/If you're Ben Afleck and you think realy hard... you can deduce all of life's riddles... like where the 90 million dollard lotto slip is.

    *BUMP*

    Hmm.

"Dude where's you car?" - really stank.

    I was dragged along....

Stuck on you sounds incredibly, bad too.

It's a pity Matt Damon was in "Good Will Hunting" and "The Bourne Identity", both of which were reasonably good flicks.

I dont tend to care who is in a movie. It dosent realy matter who is in it the only actor i realy have a problem with is the guy that plays wesley crusher in TNG

Now, now SheroN, don't be argumentative. Ben will always be eye candy, whether he can act or not!! ;)
Was Aaron Eckhart any good in Paycheck? I just realised he played Julia's biker boyfriend in Erin Brockovitch and he was great in that.

    Stand By Me?
That's a class movie. Watch it again, and put your thoughts on Will aside. :)

As for Ben affleck, when he's not being a smug twit, he's a decent actor.
He sure does make some terrible choices when it comes to movie roles though.

Ditto, Dogma was class, but then Kevin Smith is a clever (and very funny) guy!

Stand By Me was another classic. I'll even forgive Will Wheaton a little bit for being wesley crusher because of stand by me (not a lot though, just a bit!). he was in some college thing too where the school got overtaken by mercenaries and him and his mates regain control from the mercs. almost as plausable as him being on a starship full of phasers for years without anyone using one to melt his face off.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,905 ✭✭✭User45701

Nice. Very well desribed, i think they took him off because people wanted to kil him though, I mean they must all of hated him and even if they didnt he still would have been left out.

All The TNG cast would go to the pub..... wesley wouldebt be alowed in cause he wasent 21 and minors arnt allowd in after a certan time (dont know what time it is in the states)

Had been planning to go see this during the week but so many bad comments have out me right off.
I've always hated Affleck, he was the one thing standing in the way of me loving Dogma, the wooden bastard should fcuk off and die.
I've always liked John Woo's stuff because they always tend to be entertaining if fcek all else.

Dear God don't go to see this film, it has nothing, absolutely nothing. No suspense whatsoever in it, and Ben Affleck was just annoying
