The O.C

I'm surprised there hasn't been any thread about 'The O.C' so far. It's on TG4, Saturdays following One Tree Hill @ 8pm-ish.

The O.C., otherwise known as Orange County, California, is an idyllic paradise – a wealthy, harbour-front community where everything and everyone appears to be perfect. But beneath the surface is a world of shifting loyalties and identities, of kids living secret lives hidden from their parents, and of parents living secret lives hidden from their children. 'The O.C.' tells the story of the Cohen and Cooper families, and Ryan, a troubled teen from the wrong side of the tracks, who is thrust into this world, and who will forever change the lives of the residents of The O.C.

How're ppl enjoying the series so far? I'd have to say that last night's episode, #3, was the best yet, as the bitchiness began to emerge. Melinda Clarke rules :D

Indeedy - some delicious snarking. Best of all - everyone seemed to get pi$$ed off! That's always funny.
Anyone else find Seth's geeky awkwardness cutely endearing? :)

Adam Brody who plays Seth in 'The O.C' just started a recurring role on Gilmore Girls (Sundays @ 6.35pm on RTE One) if ya want to see more of him.

He is cute in a geeky way :p

It's on TG4 eh... I downloaded ep15 and 16 off the internet as a passing interest and thought it wasn't too bad, especially Marissa. Dare I say the new Dawsons Creek?!

Mischa Barton AKA Marissa is a great young actress, did ya see her in 'Once & Again' when she played one half of a young lesbian couple? Very good stuff :)

The oc crowd, Mischa is in the middle.

She snogged Rachel Evan Wood (the more innocent of the two girls in the 'Thirteen' movie) on a regular basis on 'Once and Again'...it's finished it's late-nite run on Net2 just before Christmas tho, so dunno if anywhere else is showing it these days.

Hallmark and Sky One showed the first season only, but there's no Mischa Barton til season 3, so you'll have to stick to 'The O.C' for yer fix :p

Watched both of these on sat night.. Thought they were quiet good.

Just a question though for anyone who saw the first episode of One Tree Hill.

Does Nathans father know that he is also Lucas' father?

    Re: One Tree Hill

Yeah, he's a real piece of work, he never took any interest in Lucas until he was asked to join the basketball team and it looked like he might mess up Nathan's future.

Pity he's such a d1ck in the show, he's a good actor. Anyone remember him in Highlander:The Raven in the 90s. Looked much better with the stubbly beard thing he used to have :)

Also, is anyone else noticing the homoerotic subtext with Lucas & Jake, his only friend on the basketball team?
